Birth Doula

Preparation focusing on confidence, trust and calm

Giving birth is one of life's greatest transitions — powerful, vulnerable and transformative. As a doula, I'm here to offer you continuous practical and emotional support throughout pregnancy and birth. It doesn't matter how, where or with whom you choose to give birth – my focus is always on you and your needs. With calm, experience and sensitivity, I help you feel held, empowered and confident in your own choices.

During pregnancy, we meet several times to explore what you need in order to feel safe and prepared for birth, and how I can best support you and your birth partner. We talk about the power of birth, any fears or concerns you may have, and different tools to help you find relaxation and ease during labour. If you plan to give birth in a hospital, I offer guidance around common procedures, routines and medical interventions, and I can support you in writing your birth plan.

Holding your space and protecting your bubble

As your birth approaches, I'm available around the clock and will join you when you need me. I stay with you throughout your entire birth, offering physical, practical and emotional support.

My main focus is to hold your space and protect your birth bubble – so that you feel seen, supported and safe as you give birth. I don't replace your partner or medical staff, but rather complement them and help communicate your wishes when needed. I make sure your choices are respected – you are always the one making the decisions around your birth.

When you've had time to settle in after the birth, it's time for me to head home. A few weeks later, we meet again to talk about your experience and the early days with your baby.

    FAQ

    1. When should I reach out to you?

Anytime during pregnancy. We'll make a plan together that fits your needs. Birth doula packages can be booked depending on availability.

    2. Does it matter where and how I want to give birth?

Not at all—you decide. I support births at home, in birth center, and in hospital. I live on Styrsö, outside Gothenburg, and support families throughout the Gothenburg area.

    3. Do you offer last-minute support?

Yes, if I have space in my schedule. Reach out and I'll let you know what's possible.

    4. What if I go into labor earlier than expected?

Call me anyway! I'll do my best to get to you as quickly as possible.

    5. When should I call you - do you come even at night?

You can call me whenever you need extra support. And yes, I absolutely come at night—labor often begins late at night or in the early morning. We'll discuss different scenarios ahead of time so you can feel confident I'll be there when you need me.

    6. Do you offer doula support online?

Yes. If you prefer online support, we can put together a plan that suits you.
